Wooden heritage

The present church is dated to the second half of the fifteenth century and was mentioned in 1470. It was built from horizontal wooden beams joined at the corners. The nave and chancel share a roof with historic timberwork.

The tower was added in the seventeenth century, while the present bell turret dates to 1745. The late-Gothic details and later layers of decoration recall the parish's long history.
